Grow the fermentation ecosystem
There is a time for quiet and a time for action, and FermenTasmania is putting out a call to action. First up is the launch of our digital fermentation hub at Fermentasmania and then a deep dive into the fermentation ecosystem.
Fermentation is ambient in our environment, in constant conversation with our bodies and our foods. It is a natural renewable sustainable resource that can be constantly harvested. Put the agents of fermentation, the yeast and bacteria to work and we have a world of microbes, an ecosystem that produces essential food from probiotics, cheese and pickles, to beer, wine, coffee and bread.
Meet with other microbe innovators at the Roundtable on Food Fermentation jointly hosted by Startupbootcamp Australia and FermenTasmania on 23rd November 2022. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the fermentation ecosystem to discuss trends, opportunities and challenges in the industry.
The Roundtable includes thought leaders from across the Food Industry, representing a diversity of experience from startups, SMEs, Research and Corporates, each bringing different perspectives.
Startupbootcamp will be sharing an overview of the global landscape of fermentation startups and sharing the trends they are seeing from the past 24 months of scouting.
FermenTasmania will share some exciting updates on the Fermentation Hub planned for Legana, just outside Launceston.
The Roundtable is where we can work together to develop a comprehensive understanding of the landscape of opportunities that Fermentation offers in the future of our food system.
This Roundtable will be held online from 9:30am to 11:00am (AEDT) on Wednesday 23rd November 2022. Register here: https://lu.ma/llamvohb
Other exciting developments at FermenTas include the revamping of our digital Fermentation Hub. Take a look and join the Tasmanian fermentation network as we continue our journey to create a centre of fermentation excellence in the Tamar Valley. The website is an opportunity to list your business, post your events and see what is happening in the world of microbes, yeast and fungi!
