Seven Sheds Brewery

Railton, TAS

Seven Sheds is a small batch brewery making English and European ale styles with new world Tasmanian character. The brewhouse produces about 1,000 litres per batch and there are about 20 different beers made over 12 months ranging from permanents Kentish Ale, Paradise Pale and Willie Warmer to seasonals including a hop harvest beer and a winter oatmeal stout, and one-off batches including lines from the barrel aging program such as a blend of three black beers and a cherry sour. Co-founder and head brewer Willie Simpson also uses a smoker to create two smoked beers including his version of the Polish Grodziskie at 3.3%abv; and a peat-smoked Scotch Ale at 7.5%abv. There is also a small meadery making 90 litre batches predominantly out of clover and prickly box honey.

Seven Sheds operates a cellar door for casual visits and offers brewery tours for a more in depth look at the operation. Groups of up to 20 can pre-book a tour or tasting experience.
